BMG Real Estate Breaks Ground on Walker House, Bringing Over 300 Homes to Delta
The celebration marks the beginning of a transit-oriented community with a mix of market homes and rentals, bringing much-needed housing to support the growth of the Delta community.
Delta, B.C. [March 6th] – Today, BMG Real Estate has broken ground on Walker House, one of North Delta’s most notable housing projects, tucked along 120th Street and Scott Road. Walker House, the first mixed-use concrete tower in North Delta’s Townline Node area and BMG Real Estate’s inaugural highrise project will support the vision of the Delta Community Plan, bringing over 300 homes to the area while developing a transit-oriented community.
Backed with over 25 years of industry experience, BMG Real Estate, the real estate division of BMGroup International, has become one of the fastest-growing real estate entities in the Lower Mainland. To date, BMG Real Estate has built over 25 projects, ranging in asset class from commercial, industrial, and residential. Walker House marks BMG Real Estate’s first concrete tower, with more highrise towers to come.
Set to bring a total of 314 residences to North Delta, Walker House will include a diverse mix of studios and one- and two-bedroom suites, ranging in size from 472 to 1,959 square feet. Of the 314 homes, 264 will be offered for purchase, and 50 will be available for rent, with 10% being below market rates. Comprised of a striking 29-storey tower and 5-storey wood frame rental tower, the project, designed by Focus Architecture and Area3, will soon be the tallest tower in North Delta’s area, transforming its skyline.
“Walker House holds a special spot in our company’s history, as it stands close to where my parents purchased their first home together when they immigrated to Canada,” shares Milan Mann, President of BMG Real Estate. “Beyond transforming North Delta’s skyline, Walker House will provide vital housing to accommodate Delta’s significant population growth. We take great pride in our role in enhancing the community.”
Projected to grow to 121,000 residents by 2041, with the majority of the growth happening in North Delta, Delta’s population is on the precipice of a significant surge, with Walker House playing a critical role in bringing thoughtful density to the area. With an estimated 8,300 homes needed to support Delta’s growth, its contribution is invaluable.
“We are excited to introduce Walker House as our very first high-rise project and as an example of BMG Real Estate’s commitment to building communities that last for generations,” shares Balraj Mann, Chairman of BMG Real Estate. “We are looking forward to the transformation of this area and what Walker House will bring to the community – much-needed housing to support North Delta’s growth.”
Thoughtfully designed with a strong emphasis on community, Walker House will offer an impressive 17,000 square feet of amenities, including an expansive rooftop, outdoor basketball court, a state-of-the-art fitness facility, entertainment and coworking lounges, and private meeting rooms, serving as a social hub. In addition to the ground level’s over 3,000 square feet of commercial space, Walker House will also house a daycare centre, prioritizing residents for access and fostering family well-being within the community.
Walker House will soon be a vibrant, well-connected, and diverse community, located just a short distance from schools, parks, transit and essential conveniences, and sales are well. For more information on Walker House and to secure your chance to own, visit walkerhousedelta.com.
