Concrete Coring & Cutting Helper

We are looking for a new team member to fill the position of Saw Helper. You will work closely with a team of concrete cutting, coring, and scanning professionals to execute various tasks associated with concrete cutting.

What You’ll Do:
- Assist Saw and Drill Operators with concrete cutting and coring tasks
- Grind, demolish, and remove concrete as per job requirements
- Ensure constant communication with the Slab Saw Operator
- Safely operate a truck vacuum and equipment for various site cleanup tasks, including collecting slurry left behind slab saw
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Keep the workspace/site free of debris and construction waste
- Help promote a work environment where the safety and health of all on Urban Sawing & Scanning employees, co-workers, and the public is top priority
- Maintain a high standard for quality of work that helps elevate the crew
- Learn cutting techniques from experienced and knowledgeable Saw and Drill Operators
- Proactively participate in solving job site problems that may arise
- Other construction related task that may be required to ensure success of a project
Your qualifications for this role:
- 1-2 years prior experience working in a construction services setting
- Experience working in the cutting and coring industry, an asset
- Motivated and willing to learn aspects of the concrete cutting industry
- Good work ethic and positive attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid Driver’s License would be an asset

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
