Concrete Repair/Restoration Site Supervisor

Polycrete Restorations is a structural restoration and waterproofing company who provides repair solutions and waterproofing to concrete parkades, plaza decks, retail operations, and slip resistant coatings for traffic and pedestrian walkways.

We are looking for a team member to fill the position of Site Supervisor. Reporting to the General Manager and/or Operations Manager, as a Site Supervisor, you are required to supervise on Polycrete’s project worksites. You will work collaboratively to coordinate operations, lead crews, and oversee daily activities on-site at projects throughout the Lower Mainland.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage, coach, and develop all levels of labour on the project sites
  • Demonstrate professionalism and work to develop a safe and respectful workplace by promoting safety, collaboration, innovation, and engagement
  • Ensure quality waterproofing and structural restorations standards are met and exceeded
  • Manage and execute the on-site restoration, waterproofing, concrete repair plan including scope changes
  • Collaborate and communicate with Project Managers to complete projects on time and on budget
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on project status and report on, as required
  • Plan, schedule, set objectives and control activities, and resources associated with the successful daily operation of the site
  • Maintain a clear understanding of client expectations or accuracy, quality and timelines and manage accordingly
  • Problem-solve barriers regarding project progress or operational concerns with management and the client to resolve all issues and concerns
  • Provide leadership and direction to crew members in the areas of safety, machine/ equipment operation, and quality
  • Oversee, delegate, and communicate construction tasks and responsibilities to crew
  • Identify training and development needs for junior crew members and coordinate with Technical Manager
  • Conduct on-site performance evaluations for junior crew members
  • Proactively support, recognize, address, and resolve issues amongst crew members
  • Conduct and support toolbox meetings and ensure the implementation safe working procedures
  • Ensure that hazard analysis and monitor site activities are conducted as per safety requirements
  • Participate with the daily work when required to ensure timelines and project milestones are achieved

To qualify for this role, you have:

  • 3+ years of field supervision experience in the concrete repair or structural restoration industry, required
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience leading and mentoring crews
  • Experience engaging with and resolving client concerns
  • Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints
  • Proficient in MS Office and other technology resources
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and work within tight deadlines
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Strong communications (written and oral), planning, and training skills
  • Self-starting, team player willing to work collaboratively towards achieving the strategic goals of the company

Working Conditions:

  • Field environment, working to deadlines, required to wear PPE which may include a respirator
  • May be required to work outside of normal work hours on occasion to meet the needs of the
  • Willing to travel locally between sites
  • Direct reports include field crew

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Wage: $30.00 to $38.00 per hour, based on experience in industry and qualifications
