We are looking for a new team member to fill the position of Demolition Operator to work at various demolition sites in and around the Lower Mainland of BC.

What You’ll Do:

• Machine operation in a safe and respectful manner on DWD’s & client job sites
• Strive for and maintain a high standard for quality of work that helps to elevate the skills of the rest of the Demolition Team
• Work with Field Supervisors and Crew to perform various tasks including but not limited to, demolishing building structures of all compositions with heavy equipment in accordance with project specifications
• Always ensure effective communication and eye contact with the ground field crew
• Report on demolition progress and any potential issues as they arise to Field Supervisors
• Perform daily pre-inspection machinery safety checks and service
• Work at heights and in deep spaces, if required
• Attend, and be an active participant in all mandatory safety meetings

What you’ll bring:

• Experience with running up to 350 and 380 class Excavators with hoe rams, processors, and other demolition attachments
• 5+ years’ experience as an operator in the demolition industry performing building and concrete structures demolition
• An understanding of Safety and the expectations to exceed Safety standards in an on-site environment
• Valid Safety tickets
• Self-motivation with an ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to drive within the Province of BC
• Be fit for work – ability to see, hear, walk, stand, lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to communicate in English both verbally and writing
• Good work ethic and willing to learn with the desire to produce quality results
