Actes Environmental is growing, and we’re looking for hardworking Abatement Workers to join our team. If you have experience in asbestos, lead, mold abatement, remediation, or environmental services and enjoy hands-on work, we’d love to hear from you.

The role is based throughout the Lower Mainland, with work on a variety of environmental and remediation projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Perform asbestos, lead, and mold abatement work
- Assist with environmental remediation and site clean-up activities
- Safely handle, package, and dispose of hazardous materials
- Set up, operate, and maintain decontamination equipment and PPE
- Follow site-specific safety plans, hazard assessments, and procedures
- Complete daily documentation and project records
- Work closely with supervisors and fellow crew members to complete projects safely and efficiently
- Travel to job sites throughout the Lower Mainland as required
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of experience in abatement, remediation, environmental services, or hazardous materials handling
- WorkSafeBC Asbestos Worker Certification or equivalent
- WHMIS, TDG, and First Aid certifications are considered an asset
- Ability to wear respirators and other required PPE
- Physically fit and comfortable performing demanding field work
- Strong commitment to safety and following procedures
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence is an asset
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work well as part of a team
Working With Us
This is a field-based role where no two days are the same. You’ll work on a variety of projects involving asbestos, lead, mold, and environmental remediation. The work can be physically demanding and may involve overtime, weekend work, confined spaces, heights, and varying weather conditions. Safety is at the heart of everything we do, and all work is performed in accordance with WorkSafeBC regulations and company standards.
