Construction Supervisor (NOC 72014)

Polycrete Restorations Ltd. is a full-service concrete structural restoration & waterproofing company. Our projects include shopping centers, parkades, industrial structures, civil works, heritage buildings, bridges and more.

We are looking to hire one Construction Supervisor (NOC 72014).

This position is permanent full time, 40 hours per week. It is based out of Address:  1900 Brigantine Dr, Coquitlam, BC V3K 7B5 which is also our business address. This position will work on job sites throughout the Lower Mainland.

The position pays $39.00 per hour, with the possibility of performance-based incentives. The person in this role will also receive extended health benefits, prescription drugs, dental coverage, and 2 weeks’ vacation. The Company will provide on the job training and will provide Personal Protective Equipment training as well as WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems) training. The Supervisor in this role is to provide their own Steel-toed safety boots.

 

The description of the job:

The Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily field operations and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of concrete restoration, waterproofing, parkade, plaza renovation, and related construction projects.

This role leads crews, coordinates trades, labour, materials, tools, equipment, and site logistics, and provides hands-on support to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.

 

The duties of the position:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction workers and tradespeople on active job sites.
  • Plan daily work activities, coordinate crew workflows, and ensure productivity targets are achieved.
  • Direct and support field crews to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards.
  • Provide leadership and direction to crew members in the areas of safety and machine/ equipment operation.
  • Provide recommendations for hiring or promotions of existing crew members.
  • Coordinate equipment, supplies and resources required for project execution.
  • Track and report on site progress and crew performance to ensure work is completed on schedule.
  • Coordinate multiple construction scopes and trades, as required.
  • Lead and contribute to the resolution of site constraints and operational challenges with project management team.
  • Serve as a key liaison between site personnel and project stakeholders, such as clients, consultants, etc., ensuring clear communication of project requirements and site activities.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of client expectations and manage accordingly.
  • Verify that all work meets design requirements, company standards, quality objectives, and applicable safety regulations.
  • Lead by example and perform hands-on construction duties as required.

 

The requirements of the position are:

  • A minimum of 7 years of hands-on construction and site leadership experience.
  • Proven experience supervising crews and coordinating job sites.
  • Practical experience with concrete, waterproofing and restoration-related work.
  • Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, construction sequencing, quality control processes, and safe work practices.
  • Equipment awareness or practical experience with skid steer, scissor lift, and telehandler is an asset.
  • Ability to travel to job sites.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, lead crews, work independently, and support project teams in the field.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong communications (written and oral), planning, and training skills.
  • Self-starting, team player willing to work collaboratively towards achieving the strategic goals of the company.
  • English is the main language of work, Spanish is an asset.
