Polycrete Restorations is looking for a dependable and experienced Concrete Labourers to join our team! We specialize in restoring concrete structures and waterproofing—like parkades, plaza decks, retail spaces, and walkways with slip-resistant coatings. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide daily support as directed by the on-site foreman
  • Perform all aspects of concrete repair preparation, chipping, saw cutting, surface preparation
  • Place and finish repair concretes and mortars in all applications
  • Conduct surface preparation of concrete such as grinding and sandblasting
  • Conduct concrete restoration work in various types of structures
  • Operate concrete vibrators to consolidate concrete
  • Install anchor bolts, dowels, and other fixtures
  • Chip, scrape, grind high spots, ridges, and rough projections to finish concrete, using pneumatic chisels or power grinders
  • Install traffic deck coating, as required
  • Maintain general site cleanliness to ensure job sites are clear of hazards, waste, and scrap material
  • Use and maintain all necessary hand/powered tools for concrete finishing and coating work.
  • Load/unload site materials and equipment as needed
  • Undergo training on new procedures and materials as required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years experience working a labour role in the construction industry
  • 1+ years experience related to waterproofing and concrete repair, an asset
  • Sound knowledge of mixing cement, plaster, and mortar, an asset
  • Proficient in communicating and understanding basic English
  • Experience with trowels, power tools and other construction hand tools
  • Fit to work – ability to see, hear, walk, stand, and lift 50lbs
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Able to work outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions, in all seasons
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work safely as part of team
  • Problem solving & time management skills, an asset
  • Authorization to work in Canada

Working Conditions:

  • Field environment, working to deadlines, required to wear PPE which may include a respirator
  • May be required to work outside of normal work hours on occasion to meet the needs of the business.
  • Willing to travel locally between sites

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour depending on experience
