Abatement Supervisor

Are you an experienced abatement professional who enjoys leading crews, solving problems, and keeping projects running safely and efficiently?

Actes Environmental is looking for an Abatement Supervisor to join our growing team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing abatement projects, supporting crews in the field, coordinating daily site activities, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to a high standard.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and coordinate abatement projects throughout the Lower Mainland
  • Supervise crews and oversee daily site operations
  • Work closely with Project Managers to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
  • Plan work activities, allocate resources, and manage changing project priorities
  • Monitor project progress and provide updates to Operations
  • Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards
  • Mentor, train, and support crew members in safe work practices and job performance
  • Facilitate toolbox meetings and promote a strong safety culture
  • Conduct hazard assessments and ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC requirements
  • Build positive relationships with clients and help resolve project issues when they arise

 

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience within the hazardous materials, remediation, or abatement industry
  • Valid WorkSafeBC asbestos certification
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring field crews
  • Strong understanding of abatement practices and site safety requirements
  • Experience working directly with clients and resolving concerns professionally
  • Ability to read plans, drawings, and site documentation
  • Comfortable using technology and digital reporting tools
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A team-first attitude and commitment to helping others succeed

 

Working With Us

This is a field-based position working on projects throughout the Lower Mainland. The role requires reworking on site, coordination of crews, and an ability to adapt to changing project demands. Some overtime, after-hours work, local travel, and emergency response may be required depending on project needs.
